An impressive wall-mounted display board from an old collection featuring an extensive assemblage of Miocene fossil shark teeth together with numerous pycnodont fish teeth, carefully arranged on a natural stone slab. This historical collector's display combines scientific interest with the unmistakable charm of vintage natural history collections. The board contains well over one hundred fossil specimens of various sizes and taxa. Several large shark teeth dominate the upper section, while the remainder of the display is densely populated with medium and small shark teeth representing different species. Numerous rounded crushing teeth of pycnodont fishes are also included, illustrating the remarkable diversity of ancient marine vertebrates that inhabited the Miocene seas. The fossils retain their natural colours, ranging from pale cream and beige to grey, brown and nearly black tones. The variety of tooth shapes reflects different feeding adaptations, from cutting and grasping predators to durophagous fishes specialized in crushing hard-shelled prey. Mounted on a shaped stone slab with its original hanging fixture on the reverse, the piece was clearly assembled as a collector's display many decades ago. The stone slab measures 36 × 20.3 × 2 cm and weighs approximately 900 g. The largest shark tooth measures 5.2 × 5.5 × 1.6 cm.
