Ancient Egyptian Faience ネフェル装飾のあるスカラベ;良いですか、それとも美しいですか(1点) - 1.4 cm (No reserve price)

IMPORTANT! Due to new custom regulations we can no longer ship outside the E.U. Please make sure you have an EU shipping address before bidding. - Nefer translates to "good," "beautiful," "perfect," or "happy." The symbols on the sides of the central axis are symmetrical decorations that are often depicted together with the Nefer symbol to reinforce its power. The indentations and shapes on the left and right sides of the central 'stem' (the windpipe) are intended to balance the composition. In Egyptian art, symmetry was essential; it stood for Ma'at (order and harmony). Plant motifs: Such as lotus flowers or papyrus stalks, which symbolize rebirth and blossoming. Additional hieroglyphs: Sometimes small signs were added suggesting "life" (Ankh) or "strength" (Was), but here they seem to be primarily a graphic filling of the space to frame the central Nefer sign. - See last picture as a parallel from the same time period: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/548969 Registered shipping. Provenance/Known History: Ex. Mustaki collection, Egypt, pre-1950's. In various UK collections after 1950. After that A&O Gallery, UK. Important information: - A declaration of authenticity by my shop is provided with this lot. - Invoices, import- and export papers etc. will not be shared with customers. - Please do not pay for a won item before you are finished bidding in the auction. The system will not be able to combine your orders into one shipping if all items aren't paid at once.
