Elegant coffee or tea pot in solid silver, made in the Netherlands and fully hallmarked according to Dutch silver standards.
Made in the Netherlands and hallmarked in Voorschoten, a historic centre of Dutch silver production associated with the renowned Van Kempen & Begeer tradition. In the post-war period Voorschoten workshops produced high-quality table silver with clean, functional lines—exactly reflected in this elegant 1958 coffee/tea pot with heat-insulating wooden handle and finial.
Material: Solid silver (Leeuw II – 835/1000)
Origin: Netherlands
Silver smith Voorschoten
Date letter: Y in a circle – 1958
Height: approx. 21.5 cm
Length (incl. spout & handle): approx. 20 cm
Diameter (body): approx. 11 cm
Weight: approx 493 grams
Handle & finial: carved dark wood (heat-insulating)
Maker’s mark V with crescent below, registered in Voorschoten
This piece features a gracefully curved, pear-shaped body with a slender pouring spout and a domed lid topped by a turned wooden finial.
The dark wooden handle provides excellent insulation and creates a refined contrast with the polished silver surface.
The overall design is timeless, functional, and understated, typical of high-quality Dutch silver from the post-war period.
Originally intended as a coffee or tea pot, this piece remains perfectly usable today.
It can also serve as an elegant display object or table center piece, suitable for both classic and modern interiors.
Good antique condition, with normal signs of age and use such as light surface scratches and minor wear consistent with its age. No dents or structural issues. Lid fits well.
A refined example of mid-20th-century Dutch silver, combining craftsmanship, functionality, and elegant design — ideal for collectors or lovers of authentic European silverware.
