This is a Pathéorama film viewer produced by Pathé-Frères in France during the 1920s.The device allowed users to view 35mm film strips directly or project them when combined with a "Cocorico" projector.
The viewer is constructed from metal and features a winding knob to advance the film manually.
The film strips used were labeled "Ininflammable" (non-flammable) for safety.

My viewer shows signs of wear, due to it's age and use but it seems to me that the real value is more in the 96 slide rolls. 

I just took a photo of part of a roll in front of a window glass and the quality and details are astonishing! Look at the "Tonkin" photo (former French colony...)
