2010 Dom Pérignon - Champagne Brut - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

This was a difficult vintage in Champagne that yielded few vintage wines. But despite this – and perhaps because of choices that had to be made in the vineyard – the result is a Dom Pérignon that’s perhaps a bit more serious than in other years. I love the tension and the edges here. While this is always a wine that appeals to a broad public, the 2010 is one that’s impressed me a lot. Champagne Dom Pérignon 2010 France 54% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir. Dosage 5 g/l. Full yellow in colour, this is a really impressive vintage for Dom. Layered crystalline citrus fruits with some peach and apricot richness, and also subtle bread and toast detail, as well as a bit of spice. There’s a lot of flavour here, but also good precision to the fruit: it seems to have slightly keener acidity this vintage, with more precision and bite. Still, as always, it is easy to appreciate and tastes expensive, but I think there’s a bit more focus and intensity. Love it. 95/100 It always stored in a place with controlled temperature and light
