This garden painting was executed on the turn of 20th century, signed on the back of the panel “Quinton“. Probably the author of it is Danish landscape painter Paul Édouard QUINTON, who was active in the end of 19th - beginning of 20th centuries. Very similar work by him with blooming flowers in the front of a house represented in the sale of Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen on 10.12.2004 ( sold for 1000 €). Inscription:remainder of signature lower right; signed/inscribed Quinton on the back of the panel; collector label with inventory number . Technique: oil on wood plate. Measurements: unframed 18 1/8" x 20 1/2" (46 x 52 cm), framed 24 5/8" x 27" (62,5 x 68,5 cm). Conition: fairly good.
