Burmese amber is among the oldest amber in the world; formed approximately 99 million years ago during the mid-Cretaceous period, it originates from the Hukawng Valley in Kachin State, northern Myanmar. The primary value of Burmese amber lies in its extraordinary significance to paleontological research. It perfectly preserves snapshots of a prehistoric tropical forest, serving as a true "time capsule."
