A striking and heavy bronze Judaica wall amulet in the shape of a Hamsa (protective hand), created in Israel in the second half of the 20th century.
At the top is a bas-relief portrait of the revered Moroccan-Israeli rabbi and kabbalist Israel Abuhatzeira, known as Baba Sali, surrounded by Hebrew text that reads ברכת הבית (“Home Blessing”).
The inscription in Hebrew contains a traditional home blessing to protect the household from harm and misfortune, and to bestow peace and prosperity.
Above the portrait is an engraved protective eye, symbolizing protection from the evil eye (Ayin Hara).
