Chimay Grande Réserve Fermentée en Barriques is a Quadrupel. The beer is aged in three different barrels: French oak, American oak, and whiskey. By not aging the beer in a single barrel, but creating a blend, a balanced result is achieved.

Chimay 2020

Chimay Grande Réserve Armagnac Oak Aged 2020 is a Strong Ale at 10.5%. This beer undergoes wood aging in three types of casks, all of which impart unique characteristics to the beer: American oak (48%), French oak (24%), and casks that previously contained Armagnac (28%) were all used for the maturation of the Chimay Grande Réserve bottled in 2020.
