Ancient Roman, Empire Bronze リング - 紀元3世紀から紀元5世紀 (No reserve price)

Late Roman Bronze Ring with Raised Worn Bezel – 3rd to 5th Century AD A cast bronze finger ring with a circular hoop widening gradually toward the shoulders and supporting a prominent raised bezel. The upper element is heavily worn and mineralised, making its original design difficult to determine; it may once have represented a highly stylised zoomorphic head or an engraved oval setting whose details have been obscured by corrosion. The integral construction, broad shoulders and elevated solid bezel are characteristic of personal rings produced during the Late Roman period. The surface preserves extensive dark brown and green archaeological patination, mineral deposits and age-related wear. Material: Bronze Dimensions: 2.4 × 1.9 cm Weight: 4.7 g Provenance: Acquired in Germany. From a German private collection assembled during the 80’s.
