ディスプレイキャビネット - Wood, Glass - Japan - デザイン&ヴィンテージ家具

Vintage Japanese Mid-Century Modern Cabinet - Japandi Style Showcase with Textile-Patterned Backing - Showa Period (c. 1970s) Description An exceptional Japanese modernist display cabinet / low sideboard dating from the late Showa period (circa 1970s). This piece perfectly encapsulates the "Japanese Mid-Century" era, combining clean Scandinavian design principles with functional Japanese interior aesthetics—a look highly sought after today as the Japandi style. The upper section is enclosed by two large, minimalist sliding glass panels. The interior features a uniquely framed asymmetrical floating shelf, offset by a beautiful tactile, ribbed woven-textile styled backing in warm neutral tones. This provides an elegant background for exhibiting ceramics, glassware, or books. The lower section features smooth-sliding wooden panels boasting a striking symmetrical vertical wood grain. Opening the left side reveals two nested drawers with elegant, recessed organic crescent pulls. The right door features an ornate, recessed brass-toned metal handles plate that adds a subtle touch of vintage charm. With its sleek lines, low profile, and rich wood tones, this versatile piece fits effortlessly into modern eclectic interiors as a media console, living room showcase, or dining room credenza. Material: Finished wood veneer (likely walnut or keyaki tones), internal engineered/softwood components, glass, integrated hardware, and textured backing material. Technique: Mid-century industrial cabinet making, matching grain veneer application. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Very minimal wear to the external framework. The glass panels slide seamlessly and are completely free of chips or cracks. The wood finish retains a healthy sheen with only minor age-appropriate scuffs on the lower base frame.
