Original Japanese bronze vase in an antique style with a marbled red, gold and black patina, bottle form, 23.5 cm high, 11 cm wide, 11 cm deep, 0.712 kg, in good condition with light wear and a small hairline crack near the neck ring.
Description from the seller
Item Description
A striking decorative vase with a classic bottle silhouette: a bulbous, teardrop-shaped body tapering into a slender neck that flares outward into a trumpet-shaped mouth, accented with two raised ring details at the neck. The surface is finished in a richly mottled patina combining deep red-orange, metallic gold, and dark bronze-black tones, creating a marbled, almost lava-like texture that catches the light beautifully across the curved body.
This piece has the look and weight of a traditional Japanese bronze-ware vase (唐金花瓶 style), the kind often produced as decorative "karakane" ware for tokonoma or interior display. The unglazed footring on the base reveals the same mottled coloration continuing beneath, confirming the treatment runs through the piece rather than being a surface-only effect. With its warm, autumnal palette, it would suit both traditional Japanese-style interiors and modern eclectic spaces equally well.
