銀めっき金属製の容器に収められた接触遺物を含み、金色の絹の背景の上に呈示され、手書きの銘札には「 B. Caroli Spin… 」と記されており、おそらく聖人チャールズ（カルロ）・スピノラを指しているとみられます。
聖人チャールズ・スピノラ（1564-1622）はイタリアのイエズス会士で、日本への布教使として奈良崎で殉教し、キリスト教の信仰に対する忠実さからカトリック教会によって列聖されました。
裏面には赤い教会用蝋印の栓がそのまま残されており、絹の糸で留められていて、公式認証以来この遺物箱が開封されていないことを保証します。
