この品は、ロンドンの Pobjoy のような装具業者が製作した歴史的な教育用または儀式用の装置を思わせる、ヴィンテージの三角形フリクサー（滑車と滑車付きブロック）のデモンストレーションモデルです。

*Freemasonry（フリーメイソンリー）において、滑車とブロック・アンド・タックルのシステムを備えた三角形の枠（ tripod）は、強さ、人間の知恵、そして重い石を持ち上げるために用いられる operative tool（ルイス）を象徴します。

三本の柱が上部で結ばれ、 massive weight を安全に支える安定した三角形構造を形成します。
rope と pulley のシステムは機械的利得を生み出し、1人の人間が重い荷を持ち上げられるようにします。
石 blocks の上部に彫られた穴に鉄製のクランプを差し込み、滑車システムの張力の下でしっかりと挟み込むようにします。
**Symbolic Meanings in the Craft
Symbol of Strength:** 伝統的な Entered Apprentice tracing boards に見られる強さの象徴であり、協力的な努力と機械的利得が、 brutishな人力だけでは成し得ないことを示します。
The "Lewis" Metaphor: 作業用ルイスが重い石を建物に持ち上げるのを助けるのと同様、未入門の Mason の息子（伝統的には Lewis と呼ばれる）は、 burdens を担い、 aging father を支えることが期待されます。

In Masonic ritual, these "working tools" are not used for construction but for self-improvement:
*The Square: Symbolizes morality and honesty. It serves as a reminder to "square" one's actions and behave fairly toward others.
*The Compasses: Symbolize self-restraint and spiritual boundaries. They represent the importance of keeping one's desires and passions within "due bounds".
*Combined: Together, they represent the union of the material (Square) and spiritual (Compasses) realms.

All the objects included in this auction originate from my family’s private used collection, which has been passed down through generations of true Masons.

**Important Information:**

Refused or unpaid parcels will be returned to me, and it may take up to a month for me to resend them back to the buyer. If the full postage fees are not paid again, the parcel will not be send and case will be reported to Catawiki.

**Missing or Incorrect Address Parcels:**
Parcels with missing or incorrect addresses will be returned to me. This process may take up to a month, and only a resend to the buyer will be possible if the full postage fees are paid.
