Offering: 1 exceptional and rare piece Hutian Kiln Celadon Octagonal Melon-Shaped Ewer Description: A Northern Song Dynasty Hutian Kiln celadon octagonal melon-shaped ewer, with its original lid intact. The body is divided into eight melon-shaped lobes, with a straight neck, curved spout, and bridge-shaped handle formed in one piece, exhibiting a robust and elegant form. The body is coarse grayish-white, with exposed clay at the foot showing natural flint-red patina; the entire piece is covered in a pale celadon glaze, the surface of which is covered with fine, old crackles, and has a thick, aged patina. This piece can be traced back to the Northern Song Dynasty, approximately 960-1127 AD, and was made by Chinese hands. The exposed clay reveals its material and production date. Condition: Good condition, with signs of use. There is residual glaze on the body, caused by kiln firing. The spout has some debris. There are no signs of repair.
