アッシリア文化において、パズズは悪霊の王であり、体は人間、頭は獅子または犬であった。パズズは護符に呼ばれ、その rival の力と、母と子を出産の際に害した女神ラマシュトゥに対抗するための護符である。この護符は非常に良い状態で保存されている。（紀元前900–650年）いくつかのパズズ像はネックレス用のペンダントとして使われ、より大きなものは家の扉の上部に取り付けて守護として用いられた。このパズズ護符は、長年にわたり多くのパズズを収集している男性の所有物であった。彼は1992年に別の収集家からこのパズズ護符を購入して獲得した（最後の収集家は1985年より前に購入した）。売り手はそのロットが合法的に取得されたことを証明できる。出所に関する声明はカタウィキにより確認された。売り手は必要な許可証の手配を責任をもって行う。
