丸みを帯びた胴部、背の高い円筒形の首、わずかに開いた縁を特徴とするクラシックなローマ式陶器香油瓶です。この種の器はローマ世界全体で広く使用され、香水・香油・化粧品・医薬品の保存および分配に用いられてきました。優雅でありながら実用的な形は、家庭生活、宗教儀礼、葬祭の場面にも一般的に見られました。
この例は、魅力的な考古学的表面の堆積と世紀を超えた埋葬の自然な aging に伴う摩耗を伴う、均整のとれたプロファイルを示しています。器は専門的な修復を経ており、古代陶磁器の再構築に伴う修復線が見られます。それにもかかわらず、全体の外観は非常に本物らしく、ローマ陶器生産を代表する特徴をよく示しています。簡潔な形と調和のとれた比率は、ローマの実用品陶器が持つ実用的な洗練を体現しています。
