中国・清朝時代の釉陶製の女性随身像が、円形の半球状台座の上に立つ。像は紺とターコイズの宮廷衣装をまとい、髪は橙赤色の髪紐で結われた高い髷の髪型で、額には抹额（モエ／抹額）と呼ばれる額布をかけている。表情は繊細に描かれ、黒い顔料で瞳と眉を、橙赤色の顔料で唇と耳を彩る。右腕は曲げられ、右手は腰に乗せてくつろいだポーズを作り、左腕は胸元へと寄せられ、左手は布を握ってターコイズの縁取りを添える。表面には地表の鈍い付着痕と経年の損耗があり、台座の小さな欠けなどが見られる。顔料は繊細で、取り扱いには注意が必要。
この種の像は埋葬品・墓所の供物として作られ、しばしば死者のための列を成して冥界へ同行すると考えられてきた。中国語では明器（mingqi）と呼ばれ、通常は侍女、官吏、兵士、楽人、宮廷付き人、踊り子、動物としては馬やバクトリアン・キャメルが描かれる。墓像は清朝の上流階級の間で人気があり、墓主の来世を共に過ごし、死者の欲求を満たす役割を果たすと信じられていた。
寸法：約 高さ22.7cm × 幅8.8cm
