Patricia Lee Smith（1946年12月30日生）は、アメリカの歌手・ソングライター・詩人・画家・作家・写真家です。彼女のデビュー・アルバム『Horses』は、ニューヨークを拠点とするパンク・ロック運動の影響力あるメンバーとしての地位を確立しました。スミスは音楽と詩を組み合わせた作風で知られています。1978年には、最もよく知られる曲「Because the Night」（ブライース・スプリングスティーンと共作）は、ビルボード・ Hot 100で13位、UKシングル・チャートで5位を記録しました。

2005年、スミスはフランス文化省よりオルドリ・デ・ザール・エ・デ・レットル（芸術文学 ordre des Arts et des Lettres）のコマンダーに任命されました。2007年にはロックの殿堂入りを果たし、2010年11月には長年のパートナー、ロバート・マッペルソープとの約束を果たすために書いた回顧録『Just Kids』でNational Book Awardを受賞しました。彼女は2010年公開のローリング・ストーン誌の「史上最高のアーティスト100名」で47位にランクインし、2011年にはPolar Music Prizeを受賞しました。
