40mmのオイスターケースは904Lステンレス製で、Triplockねじ込み式のリュウズ、ブランドのシグネチャーCyclops拡大レンズを備えたフラットサファイアクリスタル、そして堅牢なねじ込み式ケースバックを特徴とします。
ベゼルはテーパー加工された縁を持つステンレスベゼルリングに、陽極酸化アルミニウム製のインサートが嵌め込まれています。
1980年代後半から2010年までの約20年以上にわたり、ロレックスのデイト表示ダイバーウォッチのステンレススチール版であり、現在も誰かが「Rolex Submariner」と言えば最初に思い浮かぶ時計です。
