浦口雅之による静謐な青磁（せいじ）ぐい呑み。現代日本の青磁磁器の第一人者の一人として知られる浦口雅之は、柔らかく発光する青緑の釉が縁と口縁の周りに穏やかに広がり、浦口の釉薬の深さと微妙さを露わにします。杯の静かな、控えめなフォルムは釉薬そのものを主役に据えるという、彼の表現手法の特徴を示しています。元の署名入り木箱（トモ箱）付きで、出所と展示価値が加わります。
【作家プロフィール】
浦口雅之（1964年生、東京）は、現在日本で活躍する青磁（せいじ）陶芸家の最前線を担う作家の一人として広く評価されています。東京藝術大学で ceramics を学び、故・三浦耕平 重要無形文化財の指導のもと修士課程を修了しました。自ら窯を開いた後、浦口は青磁釉薬の追究に専念し、伝統的な宋代の青緑系の色調を超えて、より豊かで複雑な色彩へと展開する独自の配合を開発しました。彼は日本工芸会の正会員であり、日本各地の大手百貨店ギャラリーで多数の個展を開催、作品は日本国内外の美術館コレクションにも所蔵されています。
