Description from the seller
Built in 2003, a beautiful and exceptionally well-running original Smart Roadster Coupe, initially delivered new in Germany, and a huge eyecatcher that also drives unusually well, like a kart. The German HU (Hauptuntersuchung = TUV) is valid until September 2027
Documents:
The car was new in Germany in 2003 and thus has German registration; with these papers and the official invoice from the seller, a foreign new owner can easily register the Roadster Coupe.
Technology:
The three-cylinder turbo engine is paired with an automatic 6-speed gearbox that can also be operated manually using the gear lever. This version has the optionally stronger engine, with 60 kW (= 82 hp). It is a delightful driver’s car, and thanks to the electric soft top it’s also a fantastic fun semi-convertible with a soft top. In 2025 the car received a service, so a small maintenance is recommended, which applies to every used car. Then you can also check the left window, which doesn’t work perfectly. The tires are in good condition, and a set of original steel wheels with winter tires is included free of charge.
Bodywork:
Smart is owned by Daimler Benz, the parent company of Mercedes Benz, and this shows in the finish; nothing rattles, and the car sits well on the road, steers like a kart, yet remains reasonably comfortable for longer trips. The front bumper shows some signs of use. Notably, much of the bodywork on this Smart is made of plastic, so it cannot rust. The electric soft top works well; just keep an eye on the alignment when closing, which is easy to do.
Interior:
The seats have a beautiful upholstery and look very good. The mats and door panels as well. The interior is very neat.
In short, a lovely youngtimer that runs well and has a lot of presence, at an affordable price.
PICKUP:
The car is in Hengevelde, Netherlands, and can of course be picked up here or delivered at higher cost.
OTHER INFORMATION:
The car can be delivered to the entire European Union at a relatively low extra cost by a professional transporter.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
