HISTORIE/DOCUMENTATIE
1968年、このジャガー240は英国で納車され、同様に多くの車がそうであるように英国で登場しました。1977年に車はオランダへ渡り、2番目のオーナーが実に45年間（1976-2021）所有し、多くの結婚式でのドライブを行いました。3番目のオーナーは2021年から購入しましたが、健康上の理由で走行は約94マイルしかしていません。2021年時点で車は技術的に良好でした。現在は始動・走行しますが、整備（オイル交換、フィルター交換を含む）を受ける必要があります。
車には請求書、旧登録証、車検報告書などの多くの履歴と書類が同梱されています。作業手帳と2021年の鑑定報告書（€34,000）も同車に付属します。走行距離はオリジナルとされるようです。1981年、ゴーダの Gouwe アクアダクトの開幕式で車が大きな役割を果たした特筆すべき歴史的場面があり、関連写真が残されています。Gouwe アクアダクトの正式開幕は1981年10月6日で、70年代の最も複雑な水工事プロジェクトのひとつの国家的な締め括りとなりました。
この巨大な構造物は当時幅約47mを誇る世界最大級のアクアダクトで、A12の毎日の渋滞を根本的に解消しました。この公式開通イベントには、交通・水資源大臣ヘンク・ツェーファルキング等が出席。開幕のセレモニーでは Rijkswaterstaat の旗を掲げる場面がありました。ゴーダの市長・Ed Nijpels などの著名人も開幕に同席しました。
EXTERIEUR
車体はエレガントな Old English White の色で仕上げられています。ジャガーは全体的には完全には再生されておらず、元の塗装の一部を保つ部分もあります。ボディは損傷なしで、経年のゴツゴツ感はあるものの、状態は良好です。
クロムメッキ部とゴム部品は過去に更新済み。シャーシは硬い状態にあり（詳しいフォトレポートをご参照ください）。車体には溶接痕は見られません。ホイールはクロム処理のホイールキャップと飾りリングを装着。タイヤは Vredestein。
INTERIEUR
内装は美しいボルドーレッドのスキイ革（人工皮革）張りで、ほぼオリジナルの良好な状態で、使用感はあるものの大きな損傷はありません。シート、ダッシュボード、サイドパネルともに傷みは少なく、根元木材の仕上げは改善の余地があります。メーターは一式揃っており、現状で作動していると認識されています。ラジオはオプションです。
TECHNISCH
エンジンは約1600マイル前に整備され、鉛入りガソリン対応とされています。ブレーキとサスペンションも整備済み。2021年時点では走行・変速・ブレーキともに良好でした。その後は長期間停止していたため、いくつかの点検・整備を推奨します。
車は始動・走行しますが、オイル・燃料系・フィルターの交換、点検等のメンテナンスを推奨します。
ジャガー240は2.5リットル（2,483 cc）DOHC XK6気筒エンジンを搭載し、ダブル SU HD6 キャブレターと E-Type 由来のストレートポートヘッドにより133 hp、202 Nmのトルクを発揮します。後輪駆動と4速マニュアル（オプションでオーバードライブまたは自動）で、最高速度は時速約170km、0-100km/hは約12秒強で、パワーを背後の車輪に伝えます。
シャシーはパワーアシスト付きダンロップディスクブレーキ、前輪独立サスペンション、後軸リジッド、現代的な12V電気系統と交流発電機を搭載しており、細身のバンパーにより車両重量は約1,440 kgに低減されました。
