Description from the seller
Vintage Luxury Lighter ZAIMA Chatelet (Japan, 70s) – Special Model, with Box
Full Description:
I am selling a vintage Zaima Chatelet pocket lighter, a rare high-quality piece made in Japan in the 1970s, which borrows the elegance of French design such as S.T. Dupont.
Design and Texture (Guilloché): The fully gold-plated casing stands out with a special three-dimensional geometric pattern, "Diamond Cut". The texture is made up of embossed micro-pyramids that reflect light spectacularly from any angle.
Central Design Element: On both sides, geometric lines converge in a fluid curve, in the shape of an energetic wave, giving the lighter a unique visual dynamic and an excellent grip in the hand.
Aesthetic technical details: The side ignition wheel features black vertical inserts contrasting with the gold of the case, and on the back is integrated an elegant horizontal wheel for fine adjustment of the flame. The base is officially stamped with the Zaima brand and the Chatelet model name.
Aesthetic condition: Remarkable for its age, the glossy finish being extremely well preserved, without dents, dings or deep scratches.
Package: Comes in the original dark blue presentation box, lined with velvet and satin, along with the vintage metal adapter.
Functionality and transport: The flint mechanism is functional (produces a strong spark), and in the short test it ignited the flame immediately. However, the lighter has not been tested in the long term to verify the tightness of the seals over time and is delivered completely empty, without gas, according to the strict transport regulations for couriers. Sold as a historical collector's item
