ガレローマン期ブロンズ製馬頭プロトームの鍵取っ手（川のパティーナ付き）
Provincial Roman / 1st cent. B.C. - 1st cent. A.D. / Bronze, iron / H = 4.8 cm (1 57/64 in)
馬の胴部の上半身が前肢を力強く伸ばした姿で、取っ手のつまみとして機能していた。
状態:
リングはやや摩耗しているが、その他は概ね完品。河川に沈んでいたためブロンズ表面は非常に良好に保存されている。部分的に付着。おそらく鍵の取っ手の装飾部品。
出自:
スイス私人コレクション M. T.、バーゼル＝ランドシャフト。
2010年以前にバーゼルのスイス美術市場で購入。
それ以前は1950年代からドイツの私人コレクション。
