Italian Hand-Painted Faience Lavabo with Wooden Wall Backplate Italian decorative wall lavabo dating from the 1980s, combining glazed faience with a shaped wooden mounting board. The white ceramic is finished with hand-painted green detailing, including garlands, wreaths, classical foliage and a small raised musician figure. The design reflects the continued Italian decorative ceramics tradition of adapting classical ornament for refined domestic interiors. The shaped basin, reservoir and warm-toned wooden backplate create a particularly architectural wall composition. The upper reservoir retains its metal tap fitting, while the matching lower basin is separately mounted to the wooden support. The relief decoration and restrained green-and-white palette give the piece strong decorative presence without overwhelming an interior, making it suitable for a bathroom, entrance hall, country-house setting or Mediterranean-inspired collection. The overall presentation is well preserved, with age-related surface characteristics visible in the photographs. The tap handle is not present. It will be shipped exactly as shown in the photographs, so please examine all images carefully. Dimensions: H 87.5 cm × W 44.5 cm × D 9 cm
