The canvas includes an extra margin on all sides, allowing it to be stretched on a wooden stretcher frame. ASH is my intuitive, instinct-driven artistic identity — a space where gesture comes before logic and visual tension before conventional narrative. Through saturated colour, fractured planes and altered spatial relationships, I explore moments in which familiar reality becomes subtly unstable. Two States belongs to the Unstable Coordinates series and explores the coexistence of two contrasting emotional and perceptual realities within a single moment. A seated woman occupies the point at which the surrounding landscape appears to divide. On one side, intense blues form a cool, flowing environment in which land, water and folded fabric seem to merge. On the other, a magenta path moves through dense green vegetation beneath a luminous pink sky. The two spaces meet without forming a conventional horizon or a clearly continuous landscape. The figure connects these contrasting environments. Blues, yellows, pinks and violets move across her skin and clothing, making her part of both colour systems. Although her pose appears composed and self-possessed, the space around her remains unsettled, as if the external landscape were reflecting two simultaneous inner conditions. The painting does not describe a passage from one state into another. Both are already present, occupying the same place and the same body. Neither dominates, and neither can be separated entirely from the other. She is not positioned between two worlds. Both worlds pass through her.
