モーガン・ダollar型の硬貨はフィラデルフィアの鋳造所で刻印されました。表面には自由の化身の胸像が描かれており、デザインはジョージ・T・モーガンによるものです。裏面には鎧を携えた鷲がオリーブの枝と矢の束を持っています。19世紀のアメリカのコイン収集学で最も象徴的な硬貨のひとつです。
