Medieval Bronze 中世の金張りブロンズ製指輪 · リブ付き・ノッチ入りの帯 - 18.9 mm (No reserve price)

Description Medieval / Early Modern Gilt Bronze Ring – Ribbed & Notched Band Circa 14th–17th century AD A small gilt bronze finger ring of slender proportions, the band worked with a distinctive ribbed and notched design that runs around its circumference, terminating in a circular, plain bezel. The rhythmic ribbing catches the light along the hoop and gives this modest piece a lively, tactile character, while the smooth undecorated bezel indicates a ring made for personal adornment rather than for sealing. Traces of the original gilding remain across the surface, warm gold tones showing through an aged patina of brown and dark earthen deposits — the natural result of long burial. The workmanship is consistent with traditional medieval and early modern ring production. A genuine, wearable-scale antiquity in a compact size, this is an appealing and affordable example for collectors of medieval jewellery and personal ornaments. Material: Gilt bronze Period: Circa 14th–17th century AD (Medieval / Early Modern) Design: Ribbed and notched band with a circular, plain bezel Ring size: EU 47 Dimensions: 18.90 mm (length) × 3.02 mm (width) Weight: 1 g Condition: Good, commensurate with age; remains of gilding and natural patina (as shown in the photographs) Provenance: Ex European private collection; acquired on the German art market before 2000.
