ア archaistic Bronze "Gu" Vase with Taotie Mask and Key-Fret Motifs
この鮮烈な花瓶は、重厚な銅色の合金に鋳造され、古代中国の儀礼用銅器である Gu/Zun 型を模したデザインです。角ばった胴体から外側へ膨らむトランペット状の首部には、スタイライズドな饕餮（動物のマスク）紋、渦巻きの雲文、そしてほぼ全表面を覆う密な雷紋（雷文／鍵文）浮彫が施されています。胴体は中央で緩やかにふくらみ、裾の広がる階段状の脚部へと先細りしていき、商・周代の儀礼用銅器の輪郭を呼び起こします。
表面には深く風格のある酸化皮膜が現れ、縁には黒みがかった銅色、胴体には豊かな緑青（酸化銅の深緑色）がかかり、古美術品のような本物らしい aged, archaeological な外観を演出します。これは署名作としての作者個人の作品ではなく、装飾的で古式風の鋳造品であり、中国風銅器コレクター、東アジア風インテリアの装飾、あるいは古代 aesthetics を備えた立体的で質感のある object に魅かれる方に適しています。
