Description 
A highly decorative Viking-style metal-alloy pendant, distinguished by a strongly modelled radial solar-rosette composition. The circular field is organized around a prominent central boss, from which approximately eight elongated petal- or ray-like elements radiate toward the serrated perimeter, accompanied by smaller rounded bosses that reinforce the rhythmic geometry.

Comparable radial compositions belong to the broader vocabulary of Viking-Age and early medieval Scandinavian ornament, where sól (sun), wheel and rosette-like forms appear within a visual language associated with cyclic movement, light and ordered geometry. In an amuletic context, such imagery may additionally relate to protection, renewal and cosmic order, although its precise original significance remains uncertain.

Its relatively broad circular construction and ornamental organization are also compatible with an object that may originally have functioned as a small brooch or dress fitting, subsequently adapted for suspension through the attachment of the present reverse loop. Such secondary transformation of personal ornaments forms part of the extended biography of objects within medieval material culture.

The pronounced relief remains particularly well preserved, while the contrast between the dark aged surface and exposed metal strongly emphasizes the sculptural quality of the decoration.
