While this work is a traditional "Bijinga" depicting a woman in a kimono, it expresses a somewhat Western and modern atmosphere. As suggested by the title, the "fleeting expression" and "languid eyes" of a woman carrying unrequited love and poignant emotions hidden in her heart are expressed, making the viewer imagine the story behind it.
