This is a very complete crown trilobite. Most crown trilobites are broken, but this one is very complete. The Crown Trilobite (Coronocephalus) is an extinct trilobite belonging to a genus within the Trilobita subphylum. These trilobites lived from the late Cambrian to the early Ordovician period, approximately 500 million years ago, primarily inhabiting ancient oceans. They are characterized by a crown-like protrusion, hence the name. The Crown Trilobite holds significance in trilobite research, contributing to our understanding of paleobiology and paleogeography.
