Attractive Belgian Art Deco cream and sugar set by Céramique Montoise (C.M.M.), Mons, Belgium, dating from approximately the 1920s–1930s.

The set consists of a cream/milk jug and a covered sugar bowl with two handles. Both pieces are made of glazed faience and decorated with a characteristic bold polychrome floral design in turquoise, cobalt blue, brown, green and black.
セットはクリーム/ミルクジャグと蓋付きシュガーボウルの二点。両方とも釉薬を施したファイエンス製で、ターコイズ、コバルトブルー、茶、緑、黒の特徴的な大胆な多色花柄で装飾されている。

Both pieces bear the circular C.M.M. / “Fabriqué en Belgique” factory mark on the underside, identifying them as products of Céramique Montoise.

The decoration and colour palette are typical of Belgian decorative ceramics of the Art Deco period, with a clear influence from the contemporary Gouda-style ornamental pottery.
