ヴィンテージ日本製の産業用金属板 – 9枚セット – 東京広告許可証 & 防火シャッター - 看板 (9) - アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム系金属(銀色のプレート); 非磁性金属(金色のプレート)

A fascinating set of 9 original vintage Japanese industrial and administrative metal plates from the Showa period. The collection consists of: - 6 Tokyo Metropolitan Government outdoor advertising installation permit plates - 3 metal control / identification plates related to fire shutters and electrically operated shutter equipment The six silver-colored plates are marked in Japanese: "Outdoor Advertising Installation Permit" "Showa / Year / Month / Day" "Tokyo Metropolitan Government" These were practical administrative plates intended to indicate authorization for outdoor advertising installations in Tokyo. The permit number and expiration-date fields remain blank on these examples. The three gold-colored plates are industrial control plates associated with electrically operated fire shutters. Their Japanese markings include terms such as: "Fire Shutter" "Open" "Stop" "Close" "Electric Equipment" One of the two-opening plates is clearly marked: "Omata Seisakusho Co., Ltd." This is particularly interesting historically. According to the official history of today's Omata Shutter Industrial Co., Ltd., the company was reorganized as Kabushiki Kaisha Omata Seisakusho in 1948 and changed its name to Omata Shutter Industrial Co., Ltd. in 1963. Therefore, the Omata Seisakusho-marked plate can reasonably be associated with the company's 1948–1963 period. The exact manufacturer and production date of the other plates have not been confirmed, so no unsupported attribution is made. These were not decorative reproductions but functional plates made for actual administrative or industrial use in Japan. Their utilitarian purpose, Japanese typography, aged metal surfaces and surviving company markings give the group considerable appeal as examples of Japanese Showa-era industrial design and urban history. Material: Non-ferrous metal, believed to be aluminium or aluminium-based metal for the silver permit plates. The gold-colored control plates are also non-magnetic; their exact alloy has not been scientifically verified. Quantity: 9 plates in total. Approximate dimensions and individual weights vary. Please refer to the photographs with rulers, calipers and scales for detailed measurements. As shown in the photographs, individual examples show age-related scratches, surface wear, discoloration, stains, paint loss, marks, oxidation/tarnishing and some distortion or bending. These signs of use and age are part of their authentic vintage industrial character. All plates are single-sided. A highly unusual collection for enthusiasts of Japanese industrial design, Showa-era memorabilia, vintage signage, architectural hardware, fire-safety equipment and Tokyo urban history. Please carefully examine all photographs, as they form an important part of the description and show the condition, measurements, reverse sides and individual details of each plate. The items will be carefully packed for international shipping. ## Keywords Japanese vintage, Showa era, Showa retro, Japanese industrial, industrial design, vintage metal plate, Japanese metal sign, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo vintage, outdoor advertising permit, advertising permit plate, Japanese signage, vintage signage, fire shutter, fire shutter control, shutter control plate, electric shutter, industrial control panel, Omata Seisakusho, Omata Shutter, Japanese architecture, architectural salvage, Japanese hardware, vintage hardware, fire safety equipment, Japanese typography, mid century Japan, Japanese memorabilia, industrial collectible, vintage Japan ■ Please Note ■ Shipping Information: Items are shipped from Japan.
