A remarkable and unusually well-preserved pair of antique cast-iron dumbbells, each weighing approximately 1 kg. Their age is particularly evident in the solid cast-iron construction, pronounced casting seams running across the rounded ends, raised “1K” markings cast directly into the iron, remnants of the original blue paint and naturally developed rust and patina. These details are characteristic of early cast-iron production and give the pair an authentic historical appearance. The simple, heavy construction is typical of early 20th-century exercise equipment, long before modern fitness weights. The matching pair and original surface make these especially appealing to collectors of antique sporting objects.
