Theodor Julius Günther - サルヴァ - .800 silver
An elegant German silver cruet stand made by Theodor Julius Günther in Berlin around 1900, designed in the Neo-Empire style.
The stand is crafted from 800 silver and features a rectangular base with richly decorated openwork sides, resting on four finely detailed sphinx-shaped feet. Its tall central handle is ornamented with classical motifs, giving the piece a distinctive architectural character.
The stand was designed to hold three crystal glass dishes, decorated with finely cut starburst patterns. The combination of silver and crystal, together with the elaborate neoclassical detailing, reflects the quality of German decorative silverwork from the turn of the 20th century.
The silver structure weighs 461 g and measures approximately 38 cm in width, 20 cm in height and 13 cm in depth. It is preserved in very good antique condition, with minor signs of age and use.
The piece comes from the Bednarek family collection and is accompanied by specialist documentation confirming its attribution, period and silver standard.
