Blue Aragonite is a calcium carbonate mineral found in different locations all over the world. This sample, an outcrop found in Pakistan at the end of 2019, produced some of the most surprising blue colors of Aragonite so far.
Blue aragonite crystals, such as calcite, are closely related as both are calcium carbonate minerals. The difference between them lies in their crystalline structure, since Aragonite has a crystalline ortorombic system, while calcite has a crystal clear trigonal system.

アラゴナイトは炭酸カルシウム鉱物であり、世界中のさまざまな場所で見られます。2019年末にパキスタンで発見されたこの標本は、これまでで最も驚くべき青色のアラゴナイトを生み出した例の一つです。
アラゴナイトの結晶は、カルサイトと同様に炭酸カルシウム鉱物です。両者の違いは結晶構造にあり、アラゴナイトは直方晶系の結晶構造を持つのに対し、カルサイトは三方晶系の結晶構造を持ちます。
