Triumph - LP - Promo pressing, 1st Pressing, Japanese pressing - 1981

Triumph – Allied Forces | 1981 Japanese Promo LP | Special Record Company Promotional Brochure | RCA RPL 8103

Powerful riffs, soaring melodies and outstanding musicianship—an essential Triumph album in a collectible Japanese promotional edition.

Released in Japan in 1981 on RCA (RPL 8103), this promotional pressing of Allied Forces comes with a special record company promotional brochure. This additional printed material gives the offering particular appeal for collectors interested in the album’s original promotion and Japanese release history.

Allied Forces captures the Canadian trio’s compelling blend of hard rock power, melodic ambition and instrumental finesse. Rik Emmett’s expressive guitar work and soaring vocals combine with Mike Levine’s solid bass foundations and Gil Moore’s forceful drumming and distinctive voice.

“Fight the Good Fight” builds from an atmospheric introduction into an uplifting rock anthem, while “Magic Power” celebrates the emotional pull of music with an unforgettable melody. The title track delivers a harder, more aggressive attack, and “Say Goodbye” showcases the band’s ability to balance muscular playing with memorable hooks. Acoustic passages add contrast, revealing the versatility behind the volume.

The album holds an important place in Triumph’s catalogue, bringing their technical skill and accessible songwriting together with remarkable confidence. It remains a rewarding listen for admirers of melodic hard rock and the expansive sound of early-eighties arena rock.

An appealing collector’s package: the Japanese promo LP of a defining Triumph album, accompanied by the special record company promotional brochure. Presented by BLACKGOLD-MEMORABILIA.
