Large mid-century modern crystal centrepiece dish/bowl manufactured by the renowned Swedish glassworks Orrefors. This specific style with the pinched, multi-lobed central base and wide, flared rim is an iconic design attributed to legendary Orrefors designer Edward Hald (often marked under the model series #1598). It is made from heavy, hand-blown crystal glass. The thick clear glass is beautifully engineered to capture and refract light through its sculptural, starburst-like centre. At 37.5 cm in diameter, this represents one of the largest variations produced for this particular console design, making it an excellent centrepiece or display platter. It is in perfect vintage condition without visible damages.
