マスクはエジプトの葬祭美術に特徴的な、人間の顔の理想化されたスタイリライズを特徴とし、忠実な肖像を作ることよりも、故人の神聖で若々しい姿を示すことを目的としていた。眼は大きく、杏仁形で、アイラインの黒い線を厚く描く化粧を模した形。眉は簡略化された水平線で描かれている。鼻はまっすぐで突出しており、同じ木材の塊から彫られている。閉じた薄い唇は穏やかで永遠の表情を伝える。白地の層の上には自然色の顔料の痕跡が残っている。額の土色トーンは、かつらの帯状部分、あるいは髪冠の始まりを示唆している。
出所: ヴェテユイ出身のM. V.、1990年代後半から2000年代初頭にかけて自身の父フランスから相続したもの。／2026年、フランスの競売会社にて取得

Our goal is to bring authentic archaeological pieces to both collectors and those who wish to start collecting, offering original works for different budgets and always with the maximum guarantees.
