A 20th‑century Chinese porcelain plate titled “Blue-and-White Double Phoenix Porcelain Plate,” with an underglaze blue two‑phoenix motif, a Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi base mark, good original condition, and a rim diameter of about 16.5 cm.
Description from the seller
Description
A finely potted porcelain plate with gently rounded sides and neatly finished rim. The interior is elegantly painted in rich, luminous underglaze blue with two phoenixes face-to-face, wings outstretched and plumage detailed in exquisite precision — a motif symbolising harmony, nobility and good fortune — amid swirling auspicious clouds and flame scrolls. The exterior repeats the phoenix-and-cloud theme in perfect continuity. The base bears the six-character underglaze blue mark Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi (Made during the Guangxu reign of the Great Qing). An old collection label remains affixed to the rim, adding provenance.
Dimensions:
Rim diameter: approx. 16.5 cm
Condition
Gentle, even surface wear consistent with age and careful use;
No chips, cracks, hairlines, restoration or enamel loss observed;
Blue pigment remains deep, vivid and well-saturated; glaze smooth and bright throughout;
Overall in excellent, well-preserved intact condition.
