SINGULARITAS is a contemporary Italian sculptural lamp, made of composite, 43 cm high, 30 cm wide, 20 cm deep, weighing 5 kg, dating from 1990–2000, in near‑new condition and in working order, with a Brutalist design featuring an architectural ring encasing a luminous core.
Description from the seller
SINGULARITAS
Contemporary sculptural lamp
Matter at the boundary of space and time.
Singularitas explores the invisible forces that shape the universe, gravity and the mystery of space-time.
An architectural ring encloses a luminous core, while a sphere appears suspended between attraction and separation, as if on the verge of crossing a threshold into an unknown dimension.
Warm light emerges from the central void, revealing the depth of the forms and contrasting with the textured metallic-effect finish, characterised by silvery reflections and graphite undertones.
The austere, sculptural language of Brutalism creates a tension between mass and void, matter and light. The separate control echoes the formal identity of the piece, while a tactile Braille signature discreetly completes its character.
Rather than depicting a specific cosmic phenomenon, Singularitas evokes a suspended moment in which matter seems drawn towards the unknown.
