銀貨で、正面には太陽を冠する三つの火山が描かれており、領土と自由を象徴するグアテマラの象徴的アイコンとしてのモチーフは、素朴ながらもはっきりとしたスタイルです。裏面には中央に額面の 1/4 Real が配置され、周囲を植物の冠が囲み、下部には五つ星が添えられており、旧中央アメリカ連邦を示唆します。個体は保存状態が極めて良好で、浮彫は鋭く、地は清浄で微かな銀色の色調と穏やかなパティーナを持ち、元来の光沢と品質の高い鋳造らしさが際立っています。
