A beautiful Japanese lacquer box by Zohiko, a renowned Kyoto lacquerware maker with a long history dating back to the 17th century. The box is decorated using the traditional Hira Maki-e (flat sprinkled gold) technique, in which metallic powder is applied over lacquer to create an elegant decorative design. Zohiko is one of Kyoto's most prestigious lacquerware names, known for its refined craftsmanship and traditional Japanese aesthetic. This piece beautifully combines the deep luster of Japanese lacquer with delicate Maki-e decoration. It can be appreciated as a functional box as well as a fine example of traditional Japanese lacquer art. Please carefully examine the photographs for the design, details, and condition of the item.
