Materials: Silver-gilt (vermeil) mount with original thick gold wash, set with 7 rose-cut diamonds - all 7 stones tested with Presidium Diamond Mate A as diamond, 2 large stones in 8-9mm settings with 8-claw mounts and 5 smaller stones in upper bow / insect motif. Total approx. 0.40-0.70ct. Centering a large black onyx cabochon approx. 18-20mm in gold bezel with two smaller black enamel / onyx surrounds. Hallmark: Tiny round punch on bail - trace of Austro-Hungarian Diana head hallmark for silver 1872-1922. Metal non-magnetic, presumed silver 800/900, requires XRF for final fineness. No gold hallmark, silver-gilt. Dimensions: Approx. 40-45mm long incl. bail x 30mm wide. Weight to be confirmed. Condition: Good antique condition. Original gilding with age wear, open-back foiled diamond settings typical for period, light scratches on back plates, onyx with light surface wear. No stones missing.
