Aseda - Bo Borgstrom - 花瓶 (3) - 犬の骨の花瓶 - Stained glass

This authentic trio of Swedish art glass bud vases represents iconic mid century Scandinavian design from the 1960s. Known as Hundbensvaser, or bone vases, due to their unique sculptural asymmetric rims, these pieces are verified productions from the Åseda Glasbruk factory and were designed by the acclaimed artist Bo Borgström. The recognizable design features an elongated cased glass neck rising from a weighty, solid clear glass pedestal. The bases are masterfully crafted using the bullicante technique, capturing a geometric pattern of controlled air bubbles that provides both stability and exceptional light refraction. This lot includes three graduated sizes in complementary colors: deep cobalt blue, elegant light steel blue, and warm smoke amber. While sometimes misattributed to Nils Landberg for Orrefors, factory catalogs and historical records confirm these as authentic Åseda pieces by Borgström. A fantastic addition for collectors of Nordic modernism. In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations. Minimal traces of time and use. Approximate dimensions: Height: ca. 30/23/18.5 cm. Weight: 537/425/287g. Information provided to the best of my knowledge and belief. Pictures are part of description. This lot will be carefully packaged and send by registered mail.
