*Phoenix of Light* is a unique abstract painting created in 2020 by contemporary artist Samia Kerkeni. From the depths of swirling slate grey, midnight blue and luminous white, a crimson flame rises with irresistible force. A golden line moves vertically through the centre like a spine of light, connecting the darker currents below with the intense red movement above. The composition evokes the instant of rebirth when energy emerges from darkness. Blue carries the calm and depth of water, red embodies transformation and vitality, while gold introduces balance, direction and inner strength. These three forces meet in a composition that appears simultaneously aquatic, volcanic and celestial. Created through a controlled acrylic pouring process, the painting develops through the natural interaction of fluid pigments across the canvas. Kerkeni guides the colours without completely restricting their movement, allowing organic formations, cellular details and luminous transitions to emerge. The result exists between technical control and material freedom. The surface changes subtly according to the light and viewing angle. Darker passages gain depth, the crimson areas become more intense, and the golden centre appears to illuminate the composition from within. Every observation reveals new details and relationships between the colours. *Phoenix of Light* explores resilience, renewal and the transformation of adversity into creative energy. Like the mythical phoenix, the central form appears to rise from its own turbulence, carrying light upward through the surrounding darkness. Samia Kerkeni develops an artistic practice centred on matter, colour, movement and transformation. Inspired by natural forces, oceans, invisible currents and the changing behaviour of materials, she creates abstract works in which every layer preserves the memory of the artist’s gesture. This is a unique original artwork, entirely created by hand and never produced as a limited edition. The canvas is professionally mounted on a solid hardwood stretcher measuring 3 cm in depth. It is delivered ready to hang and does not require an additional decorative frame. The artwork is hand-signed by Samia Kerkeni on the front and reverse. The reverse also carries an original handwritten message by the artist, strengthening the personal and documentary character of the piece.
