ガンダハラ描かれた漆喰 Bodhisattva ヘッド
紀元後2〜3世紀頃
静かな表情で造形された優れた漆喰の菩薩頭。アーモンド形の目を弓形の眉の下に、直線的な鼻、赤 pigment の痕跡を残す縁の太い唇を持つ。頭部には前額を囲む狭い帯の上に、濃い色素で輪郭を描いた突き出た葉形の装飾が施された、華やかな冠をかぶる。顔のそばに波打つ髪の房が垂れる。
