The Macallan whisky that we present here was bottled in the early 1990s.
What is special about this whisky is that it was only distributed for the Italian market. At the time it was imported by Armando Giovanetti.
The nose has a deep and elegant presence of toasted almonds and hazelnuts. On the palate orange peel, almonds. A rather short but pleasant finish of hazelnuts, wood and caramel. Incredible how a 7-year-old has this quality, structure and complexity. Time machine, take us back to when such a bottle was the norm, the boring, deplorable, stolid norm.
